mandala inspriration

The first step in making my Mandala was the thought process which was thinking of what represents me in and putting it on paper. I had to represent myself as an element, an animal as well as something to do with my culture. Yes. I learnt numerous skills in the production of my Mandala, such as how to use various affects to the Mandala such as distortion, repetition and other various skills that have helped me in future projects, such as the road sign that I have made. When I was working on this project I felt like I was really connecting to what I was putting on paper. Yes. I had many difficulties during this project so I was a problem solver my asking questions so I could improve my work effort as well as the way my drawing turned out. I thought when I was first working on it that it would be a complete disaster but it turned out wonderfully, a lot better than I would have thought. I learned that art is not just pictures on canvas or paper a lot of emotions and feelings are poured into the design when an artist makes it. It was quite a revelation for me. As we did do these portraits about ourselves and our feelings the biggest connection I could make is to myself because this design is practically what I am.

My basic line drawing

The process of the line drawing started before the pictures you see here were actually created it involved getting and incorpating other designs from four smaller but still adequate drawings we conbined them by choosing different designs in those smaller drawings and then expanding our idea's to create one of these designs. The next one was a zoom in of a part of the black and white drawing it involved using one colour to add epathisis to this particuar design. both these designs gave me instenstial skills I would take on to using with my mandala. Such as the wyas to balance and incorparate black and white as well as colour black and white and this helped me alot in my other project "The Mandala". I felt as if my feelings were leading the lines I drew even though those lines wearn't straight as I had hoped. No I don't think I was such a problem solver in this design. Yes, I did think it increased my obervation. It showed me how much colour can change a drawing and well as the graphic affect of zooming in/out. Yes I thought First in my second drawing 1. were to zoom in 2. what colour to use 3. were to put the colour. As i said i learn't to observe art closer and how to use the graphic effect of zooming in on a pevious drawing.

Real life Examples:

This real designs shows some other artists simple line drawings that I happened to fall across

....curious, adaptable and self-directed positive learners.

When making my mandala it was an inspiring realization almost a hippifany of my inner most thoughts. Though I would have to say that I did learn much on this project how to incorperate circles with all the other things that make up me. As I'm still working on this project I can not determine if it will be great though i know what comes out of this project will be me
